With Rob Biernacki and Stephan Kesting
The Arm Drag and 2 on 1 Formula gives you the exact step-by-step gameplan to dominate your opponent from guard using two different forms of elbow and wrist control.
Using these grips are the easiest, fastest way to get an advantage right at the beginning of a grappling match.
In this instructional renowned BJJ instructor Rob Biernacki and I show you…
- How to use hand fighting to control your opponent from the open, closed and half guard,
- How to use these positions to take the back, choke, sweep, armlock and leglock your opponents,
- What to do if someone is much bigger than you and trying to power out of your techniques,
- Drills and training methods to make the techniques fast and absolutely instinctive,
- Combinations for your attacks so that your opponent is always on the run,
- The simple adjustments to use this material in both gi and no gi settings,
- And much more!
There’s a reason that great grapplers like Marcelo Garcia, Roger Gracie, Eddie Cummings, Caio Terra, Robert Drysdale have all used these techniques, and now you’ll have the exact step-by-step template to add them to your game too.

ONE GRIP TO RULE THEM ALL
This instructional gives you a powerful answer to the question, ‘What the hell should I do from guard’?
Many grapplers struggle in guard. They’re forever stuck in reaction mode, struggling just to keep up with their opponent’s movements, and never getting a chance to actively launch their own attacks.
Fortunately there’s a simple rule of thumb that’ll change everything…
When you’re in guard, first try to get elbow and wrist control.
And you do this by going for either the arm drag position or the 2 on 1 position!
There are many nuances, but the basic idea of elbow and wrist control is deceptively simple: one of your hands controls his wrist or his hand, and the other hand controls his elbow or triceps.
These two forms of double grip have some immediate benefits.
For example, now it’ll be almost impossible for your opponent to establish dominant grips on you and pass your guard. Also he’ll be so freaked out that he’ll just be in pure reactivity mode and not trying to pass your guard anymore.
Just as importantly, now you’ll be in the perfect position to actually go into offensive mode by deploying many powerful attack sequences.
After all, now you have a great big powerful lever you can use to keep your opponent off-balanced, take his back, sweep him, and set up a dizzying array of chokes, armlocks and leglocks.
The arm drag and the 2 on 1 are the two most common, most popular forms of elbow and wrist control.
So your default plan in guard should be to fight for either the arm drag or the 2 on 1, both in gi and no gi.

Who am I?
My name is Stephan Kesting. I’m the producer and co-teacher of The Arm Drag and 2 on 1 Formula.
I’m a BJJ black belt and have been doing martial arts for over 40 years, including many grappling arts like sambo, judo, submission wrestling and shoot wrestling. I’ve been teaching online for a long time. My Youtube videos about BJJ have over 60 million views, I’ve sold tens of thousands of instructional DVDs and apps, and millions of people have visited my Grapplearts website.
Let me tell you a story back from when I was a brand new black belt…
I was visiting Marcelo Garcia’s school in New York City and got to spar with the man himself.
Now Marcelo is a multiple time gi world champion and no gi ADCC champion, and was known for a lightening-quick arm drag. He had used that arm drag to take the backs of some of the very best grapplers in the world and choke them out.
But what I didn’t know at the time was he was also a master of the other form of elbow and wrist control: the 2 on 1 grip.
Marcelo started in guard with a big smile, took ahold of my arm with a 2 on 1, and from that moment I was screwed. I simply could not get my arm free no matter how hard I tried.
He controlled my arm, swept me, got to the top, tapped me out. Again and again.
The funny thing was how easy Marcelo made the 2 on 1 grip look. He wasn’t squeezing, he wasn’t straining, this was just pure technique and perfect positioning.
On that day I learned new respect for the 2 on 1 grip. After all, I was a black belt and had 40 lbs on Marcelo, but he had used the position to wreck me.
Despite that sparring session I was never that comfortable using the 2 on 1 myself until I started working with Rob Biernacki.
As soon as I worked with Rob I suddenly understood exactly what Marcelo Garcia had been doing to me all those years ago, and – more importantly – how to incorporate those concepts, techniques and tricks into my own game.
Rob had both the depth of experience in this position AND the ability to teach it that it felt like I had made 5 years of progress overnight. And keep in mind that I had already been a BJJ black belt for 21 years when I started learning this system from him.
The Arm Drag and 2 on 1 Formula will change the way you play guard and make it much more efficient, effective, and powerful.
If you’re even a little bit interested in a more effective guard then grab this instructional right away. I endorse it completely and guarantee it 100%.

A Final Word from Stephan Kesting
The 2 on 1 is a position I’ve been wanting to work on for a long time. I’ve seen it used by the best guys in the world, and I’ve had it used on me, but mastering the position eluded me.

I think this instructional will give you the same confidence
